029 Control works behind the scenes, allowing you to update the content of your entire website without any unnecessary complication. It is easy to implement, simple to use and can very quickly be administered into any website environment.
Are you wondering how to keep your website content up-to-date?
We are.
Here are some quick tips for effective content creation. 029 encourage all our clients to develop their own content, because no-one knows your business better than you do. That said, it can often be a daunting task.
- Keep content concise. Massive paragraphs of text turn visitors away.
- Keep content simple. In depth technical details, though sometimes necessary, will quickly become tiresome.
- Keep content relevant. The relevancy equation states the more content you create; the less relevant it becomes.

When working on the specification for your new website, you may decide early on you want content management. But have you really thought this through?
029 advise our clients that unless the content is going to change regularly, making it content driven is not necessary. Look at the structure of your business and how this is going to be presented on your website, and then decide which parts change frequently.
News sections or events sections will often need regular updates, but do your contact details change so often? Is your business likely to move location in the near future? 029 Control will plug into any sections of your website, but for simplicity we would only recommend content management for sections that really need it.
A content managed website needs commitment to change the content regularly – which is easier said than done. Not only do you need to create new content, but you must have someone with the time to administer the updates.
Apply logic to your content management from the start, as changing a few paragraphs is far less daunting than changing an entire website.

It is vital that every page of your website contains relevant, information rich content. Above all else, this will define your website... Your content should be easy to read, interesting and relevant to what your website is all about. The more you update the content within your website, the more value it earns.
When you are writing your content, think about your keywords. These will help define the relevance of your page to search engines. This does not mean that you have a keyword for every third word. Think about how you want to be found, do some keyword comparison, or better yet contact 029 and let us provide you with a detailed keyword comparison analysis. Remember, relevance is everything!

There is a simple equation that states, the more navigational items you have on a website, the less relevant your entire website navigation becomes. Why is this the case?
Website navigation is critical for your visitors - so multiple navigational terms lower the relevance. To put this in another context, a restaurant is capable of making hundreds of different dishes, but they only put the relevant ones on the menu. Good navigation on any website is consistent, simple and above all relevant.
Website narrative is about how your visitors follow the direction of your website. Lets think about how you meet your website visitors requirements. They have found your website thanks to your relevant content and keywords, your consise accurate navigation must now fulfill their needs quickly. Thinking about how you get your website visitors to their destination means guiding them on their journey. Your website narrative is the path your website visitors follow in order to meet their aim. Without this, they will be left wondering how they achieve their goal on your website and will quickly move on.
